The Religious And Philosophical Characteristics In A Consensually Nonmonogamous Sample, Akhila E. A. Kolesar, Seth T. Pardo
International Journal of Transpersonal Studies
Consensual nonmonogamy refers to the variety of ways people partner romantically and/or sexually with multiple others. This study examined the spiritual identities of people who self-identify as consensually and openly partnered with more than one person, as well as if and how these identities changed since childhood. Moreover, to deepen previous transpersonal research that investigated how nonmonogamous paradigms of loving contribute to spiritual development, the study also examined between group differences of whether nonmonogamous sexual behavior and spirituality are emotionally linked. Data were gathered from 484 participants; they were mostly college-educated, Caucasian, bisexual women in their 30s, who were raised …
Relational Spirituality, Part 1 Paradise Unbound: Cosmic Hybridity And Spiritual Narcissism In The “One Truth” Of New Age Transpersonalism, Gregg Lahood
International Journal of Transpersonal Studies
Cosmological hybridization, a process in which spiritual paradises are bound together, is
highly active in American religious culture. Beginning with an early Christianized version of

Ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic commonly used by US physicians, has recently been
shown to be a powerful anti-depressant and is also capable of eliciting transpersonal experiences
that can be transformative. Although currently approved in the US only for use as an
anesthetic, physicians there can legally prescribe it off-label to treat various psychological/
psychiatric problems and it has been used for these non-anesthetic purposes in Argentina,
Iran, Mexico, Russia, and the UK, as well as in the US. The literature on using ketamine
psychotherapeutically is reviewed and two case studies using ketamine-enhanced psychotherapy
(KEP) for treating death anxiety in terminally-ill …
