In this article, taking a “foreign spouse” as an issue that has made a great impact on the local marriage market, I will use the approach of Cultural Legal Study to explore how the state governs and regulates the marriage of immigrants through written law, in which I primarily focus on Immigration Law and Family Law, legal discourse and the rhetoric of legal reform regarding foreign spouses.
