This report explores the possibilities of using geothermal energy in Chile and geothermal potential in the Octava region. First, the report presents information on geothermal energy and its potential links with the country's energy matrix. Then, it provides background information on geothermal energy development in Mexico, which has volcanic energy resources similar to those of Chile. Lastly, the analysis focuses on information provided by public institutions that have studied the projections of geothermal energy in Chile.
