Objective: This study investigated interactions between TBI severity, mental health symptom severity, and community engagement among older adults. The purpose of this research paper is to examine whether young girls were more likely to experience depression and anxiety symptoms than young boys during the COVID-19 pandemic at two time points, in April of 2020 and May of 2020. Anxiety and depression are the most common comorbid psychiatric conditions in adults with ADHD. Diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes of adults with ADHD are impacted due to inadequate screening. The setting for this project occurred in a Veteran Affairs mental health outpatient clinic in central Illinois. The purpose of this study was to examine trauma type as a mediator in the relationship between gender and severity of depressive symptoms among veterans with PTSD. The literature shows trauma type plays a role in developing PTSD and depressive symptoms.
