This study examines the relationship between University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), head coaches and their respective UNLV Sports Marketing Departments. Focused interviews of all 13 head coaches at the university were used to study communicational and promotional limitations between the two parties. The purpose was to discover strengths and weaknesses existing in the lines of communication as well as in the aspect of promotional efforts; Results showed satisfactory performances of the Sports Marketing Department with regards to several aspects of the marketing procedure, including promotional strategies. This thesis is a case study of the ongoing peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, and the lack of impact that past agreements have made on the recent Oslo Accords. The thesis will attempt to show that past failures in 'land for peace' agreements between Israel and Arab countries only illustrate what is in store for the Oslo Accords. In addition, the current Israeli administration's failure to concede the disputed land in the occupied territories is in part, due to the fear of an emerging Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The purpose of this study was to research the characteristics and behavior of a group of overseas visitors to Las Vegas, measure the travel experience perceptions regarding quality of the group, identify areas where importance perceptions were greater than quality perceptions, and relate quality in the travel experience to intended future behavior; The group studied consisted of visitors from Germany traveling by charter airline directly to Las Vegas. The purpose of this study was to conduct a qualitative, descriptive case study analysis of a hotel company in Wisconsin that has implemented Quality Management in the operations and administration of its three full service hotel properties. The three questions addressed in this study were: (1) Why did Bergstrom Hotels choose to implement Quality Management? (2) How was Quality Management initiated and supported throughout the company? and (3) What were the results on employee productivity? This is a study of polygamy using economic theory and economic models. The focus of this research is an analysis of the occurrence of polygyny in the early Mormon church, and its effects on the members of the state of Utah, both Mormon and non-Mormon. This study is unique in that its subject, Mormon polygyny, was socially acceptable in Utah, but illegal, and often prosecuted, under Federal law. A Case Study In Political Rhetoric: Political And Religious Cohesion In The South, Shauna S Harrington-Donnell

This study of political and religious rhetoric questions the means by which a staunch religious individual becomes successful in the political arena. The overt religious and political rhetoric of Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR), who is also an ordained Baptist minister, is analyzed by method of textual analysis. Three speeches from different contexts are examined with the assistance of the Q.S.R. NUD.IST program for qualitative data analysis. The findings indicate that Huckabee's success in both ideological realms has occurred while using primarily three rhetorical tools to build ethos with the secular populace: self-disclosure, logic via example, and secular humor.
