EasyJet, a UK low-cost airline service provider launched several attractive advertisements to attract consumers' interest, one of which is a series of posters issued in 2016. These posters are interesting because the words show complex morphological processes and implied meanings that can be extracted. Previous studies have mostly examined morphological formation or have conducted semiotic studies, but none have linked morphological processes and images on posters with a semiotic approach. The purpose of this study seeks to analyze the conceptualization of political metaphors contained in political discourse in mass media in Medan-Indonesia. The problem analyzed is how to conceptualize political metaphors in national mass media (waspada.go.id, medan.tribunnews.com, sumut.antaranews.com, and hariansib.com). The main theory used to discuss this research problem uses the conceptual metaphorical theory/CMT of Lakoff, Johnson, and Kövecses. This study aimed to analyze the linguistic features that allegedly contained elements of blasphemy in Jenderal Dudung Abdurrachman's (JDA) speech. The analysis was carried out using a forensic linguistic perspective. This research data is in the form of JDA utterances delivered in a broadcast conducted with Deddy Corbuzier (DC). Based on a forensic linguistic analysis of the text of JDA's conversation with DC on Deddy Corbuzier's podcast, it can be concluded that JDA's linguistic evidence does not support blasphemy but a lack of knowledge in religion, especially in matters of faith. This study aims to reveal the aesthetics of the concept of Tritangtu (the trinity) in the Tarawangsa music performance in Kampung Pasir Biru, Rancakalong, Sumedang. Tarawangsa is a ritual ceremony related to religious magic to honor Keursa Nyai (goddess of fertility). The music in this ritual is not just an accompaniment or ritual compliment but even deeper shows a strong connection with the concept of Tritangtu, namely the world of heaven, the human world, and the underworld. This study aims to identify the language proficiency level of primary English language teachers’ (PELTs) productive skills (speaking and writing) analyzed using the Common European Framework of References (CEFR) and Kurikulum Merdeka. As a foreign language in Indonesia, English language proficiency among PELTs is crucial to determine the success of the learning process in a classroom. Among the choices of grammatical forms, the transitive system stands out in the pedophile community. The purpose of this study is to reveal the exercise of power and ideology of pedophiles through their transitive choices. In systemic functional linguistics (SFL), the transitivity system is widely used to analyze isolated clauses and contextual clauses. This paper critically examines how contemporary Singaporean writers use language in verse, that is poetry, to make vivid representations of Singapore as a nation and discursively construct the social notion of the country's national identity. Utilizing Wodak's (2001) Discourse-Historical framework, this paper reveals how the two authors use some common discursive strategies, mainly representational and predicational, in making explicit representations of Singapore and creating a strong sense of national identity. The object of this study is the word lotus. In the Comprehensive Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), the lotus entry has only one meaning within the botanical domain. However, the word lotus is also present and used in the context of Buddhism in Indonesia. Based on this fact, it is suggested to add a new meaning to the entry. The problem is to decide whether the new meaning is a polysemy or a homonym, and the criteria used to determine this. This study aims to trace the early history of the Bimanese to identify the weaving and its 10 motifs defined in the Bima Land Customary Law as part of the Bima ethnic characteristics. The study used a qualitative approach with data triangulation (observations, interviews, and documentation). The research result showed that the activity of spinning yarn was known by the Bimanese before the expedition of Sang Bima to the land of the rising sun (Satonda Island, a volcanic area on Sumbawa Island), which became the ancestors of the Bimanese. The aims of this paper are to discuss the concepts underlying Project-based learning (PjBL) and its syntax and to explore the planning, implementation, and reflection of PjBL in the online teaching of writing a process paragraph on the topic of using Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) principles to save the environment. This study investigates the speaking anxiety levels of EFL students enrolled in English medium classes (EMI) in a private university. Factors causing students’ speaking anxiety and potential strategies to reduce the speaking anxiety were also examined. Eighty-nine EMI students from ten undergraduate study programs were the respondents of this study. Data were collected by using Horwitz et al.’s (1986) anxiety survey. Findings showed that EMI students exhibited low-level English-speaking anxiety. The cross-tabulation data demonstrated that students perceived comprehension apprehension as the paramount anxiety factor. This study aimed to explore the role of intermediate language in translating the dialogue subtitle of Le Grand Voyage film from French as source language into Indonesian as target language. This study used intermediate language translation theory from Amal Al Shunnaq (2019), which was a translating process from source language into target language through other foreign language. Le Grand Voyage film is a film with religious nuance with the life of maghrébin immigrants in France as the background.
