Background: While there is extensive published evidence regarding the effectiveness of the Care Group Approach in promoting community-wide health behavior change, there is no published evidence regarding its empowering effect on its participants. Background: The increase in fentanyl exposure by individuals who use illicit drugs has risen causing a significant increase in the number of overdoses and overdose-related deaths. Drug checking for the presence of fentanyl can allow drug users to make more informed decisions especially when combined with motivational interviewing.

Librarians in academic institutions can play a key role in promoting improved adherence to evidence-based guidelines for performing literature reviews. Mann Library began piloting a new team-based service model in August 2019 to replace the liaison model. By separating into teams of instruction or research support and removing departmental outreach from individual librarian responsibilities, Mann librarians have been able to prioritize their functional areas of expertise that were increasing in demand and devote more time to innovative new projects. We have begun our assessment of the new model which will continue through 2020, but we are also taking an iterative approach as we implement these changes, gathering feedback from staff and course correcting as necessary.

Objectives: To develop an LBoH classification scheme and empirical definitions to provide a coherent framework for describing variation in the LBoHs.

Data and Methods: This study is based on data from the 2015 Local Board of Health Survey, conducted among a nationally representative sample of LHD administrators, with 394 responses. The classification development consisted of the following steps: (a) theoretically guided initial domain development, (b) mapping of the survey variables to the proposed domains, (c) data reduction using principal component analysis and group consensus, and (d) scale development and testing for internal consistency.

Estimation Of The Squared Population Cross-Validity Under Conditions Of Predictor Selection, Andrew J. Kircher

The current study employed a Monte Carlo design to examine whether samplebased and formula-based estimates of cross-validated R2 differ in accuracy when predictor selection is and is not performed. Analyses were conducted on three datasets with 5, 10, or 15 predictors and different predictor-criterion relationships. Results demonstrated that, in most cases, a formula-based estimate of the cross-validated R2 was as accurate as a sample-based estimate. The one exception was the five predictor case wherein the formula-based estimate exhibited substantially greater bias than the estimate from a sample-based cross validation study. Previous studies suggested that local appearance-based methods are more efficient than geometric-based and holistic methods for age estimation. We report new short-wave infrared (SWIR) column retrievals of atmospheric methane (X CH4) from the Japanese Greenhouse Gases Observing SATellite (GOSAT) and compare observed spatial and temporal variations with correlative ground-based measurements from the Total Carbon Column Observing Network (TCCON) and with the global 3-D GEOS-Chem chemistry transport model. GOSAT X CH4 retrievals are compared with daily TCCON observations at six sites between April 2009 and July 2010 (Bialystok, Park Falls, Lamont, Orleans, Darwin and Wollongong). GOSAT reproduces the site-dependent seasonal cycles as observed by TCCON with correlations typically between 0.5 and 0.7 with an estimated single-sounding precision between 0.4-0.8%. …

We have measured emission factors for 19 tracegas species and particulate matter (PM2.5) from 14 prescribedfires in chaparral and oak savanna in the southwesternUS, as well as conifer forest understory in the southeasternUS and Sierra Nevada mountains of California. The scholarly coaching literature has advanced considerably in the past decade. However, a review of the existing knowledge base suggests that coaching practice and research remains relatively uninformed by relevant psychological theory. Whilst recent research studying additional ambient sensory multimedia effects recorded numerical scores of perceptual quality, the users’ time-varying emotional response to the ambient sensory feedback is not considered. We demonstrate a uniquely designed microfluid logic gate with universal functionality, which is capable of conducting all 16 logic operations in one chip, with different input voltage combinations. Background: National data on dementia prevalence are not always available, yet it may be possible to obtain estimates from large surveys that include dementia screening instruments. In Australia, many of the dementia prevalence estimates are based on European data collected between 15 and 50 years ago. We derived populationbased estimates of probable dementia and possible cognitive impairment in Australian studies using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), and compared these to estimates of dementia prevalence from meta-analyses of European studies.

This paper presents a method to recognize human actions from sequences of depth maps. Specifically, we employ an action graph to model explicitly the dynamics of the actions and a bag of 3D points to characterize a set of salient postures that correspond to the nodes in the action graph. In addition, we propose a simple, but effective projection based sampling scheme to sample the bag of 3D points from the depth maps. An image classification technique, which has recently been introduced for visual pattern recognition, is successfully applied for human gait classification based on radar Doppler signatures depicted in the time-frequency domain. The proposed method has three processing stages. The first two stages are designed to extract Doppler features that can effectively characterize humanmotion based on the nature of arm swings, and the third stage performs classification. In this paper, we focus on the visual features of steam injection and propose an integrated algorithm to detect it based on video surveillance. The proposed method is depended on three decision rules which are the attribute of gray level and the feature of frequent flicker rate of steam injection, and the similarity structure between background image and current frame. The block-based approach is applied to all three decision rules. The experimental results show that the algorithm provides a reliable detection method which is useful in many cases such as the alarm on the leakage of a heating pipe.

Master key forward security is an important property for identity-based key exchange protocols. Unfortunately, most of existing identity-based key exchange protocols do not satisfy this property. To describe the critical current density (Jc) as the function of applied magnetic field (Ba) in high quality YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) superconducting films, the vortex pinning mechanism along the structural domain boundaries of the films is developed. To avoid the occurrence of doped magnetic ion clustering is a challenge in fabrication of diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMSs). In this work, we report the intrinsic ferromagnetic behavior in Co-doped ZnO DMSs induced by Eu codoping. Both structural parameters and magnetic properties demonstrate the existence of an interaction between Co and Eu ions. The observation of multiplet structures for the localized Co 3d states in x-ray absorption and x-ray magnetic circular dichroism characterization evidences that the codoped Eu plays an important role in facilitating the Co substitution of Zn, leading to intrinsic ferromagnetism.
