This report is an attempt to review, synthesize, summarize and make recommendations from the Team's readings, observations and discussions regarding the research and extension programs of the Southeast Research and Extension Center. The Center's staff prepared and shared with the Review Team an excellent Self-Study document prior to our arrival. This document was quite comprehensive and helpful in preparing for and during the review. The Team was requested to assess the overall quality and effectiveness of the Center's programs in terms of their strengths and challenges.

Southeast Research & Extension Center Reports and Administration

This Five Year District Program Review is issue based and follows the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources guidelines for Research and Extension Centers revised in 2000 (see Section 7a). As the guidelines indicate, the review focuses on the current and evolving issues that effect this District and to some extent contiguous regions. The identification of external issues was program independent and heavily dependent on clientele input. The IANR Strategic Plan and the Extension Action Team Plans are considered a broad perspective of the issues facing Nebraskans. The District review considers unique regional challenges.
