The Effect Of Amf-Cacao Association On Varying Physicochemical, Nutrient, And Biological Soil Parameters In An Agroforest System, Diana P. Paguntalan, Nelly S. Aggangan, Inocencio E. Buot Jr. Dec 2023

The Effect Of Amf-Cacao Association On Varying Physicochemical, Nutrient, And Biological Soil Parameters In An Agroforest System, Diana P. Paguntalan, Nelly S. Aggangan, Inocencio E. Buot Jr.

The Philippine Agricultural Scientist

The increasing interest in sustainable methods in agroforestry directs the attention of many to arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) for their role in maintaining or improving overall plant health and nutrition of many plants including cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) trees. The effects of different treatments of AMF and other soil amendments applied singly or in combination on physicochemical properties, nutrient levels, spore count, and rhizosphere microbial counts, were investigated and compared across different sampling periods of varying climatological conditions in an agroforest system. Results showed that there was a significant effect on the N content using the different treatments. The …

The Effects Of Pseudomonas Koreensis Igpeb 17 And Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi On Growth And Physiological Properties Of Ginger, Dilfuza Jabborova Jan 2022

The Effects Of Pseudomonas Koreensis Igpeb 17 And Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi On Growth And Physiological Properties Of Ginger, Dilfuza Jabborova

Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

The effect of Pseudomonas koreensis IGPEB 17 and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on plant growth and physiological properties of ginger (Zingiber officinale) in net house conditions was investigated. The experiment included four treatments including P. koreensis IGPEB 17, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) biofertilizer and combination of P. koreensis IGPEB 17 and AMF treatment. The result indicated that P. koreensis IGPEB 17 had positive effects on plant growth-promoting traits such as P-solubilization, protease, amylase, IAA, and ACC deaminase production. Moreover, P. koreensis IGPEB 17 showed ability in producing lipase and cellulase. The P. koreensis IGPEB 17 significantly increased plant height (57.6%), …

Effect Of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi And Hippophae Rhamnoides On The Improvement Of The Dump Of Open-Pit Coal Mine In The Eastern Grassland, Miao Chunguang, Yang Huihui, Bi Yinli, Song Ziheng, Guo Nan Apr 2021

Effect Of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi And Hippophae Rhamnoides On The Improvement Of The Dump Of Open-Pit Coal Mine In The Eastern Grassland, Miao Chunguang, Yang Huihui, Bi Yinli, Song Ziheng, Guo Nan

Coal Geology & Exploration

The land barren, grassland degradation and difficult ecological restoration are serious in the open-pit mining area of eastern China. The symbiosis between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF) and Hippophae rhamnoides and the effect of mycorrhiza on the development of Hippophae rhamnoides root system and the improvement of soil in the dumping site were analyzed. It was found that the plant height and crown width of inoculated AMF(+M) were increased by 20% and 21%, respectively. The root length and root volume of +M were 1.46 and 1.97 times of CK, respectively. The content of Glomalin in the rhizosphere soil of Hippophae rhamnoides in …

Taxonomic Microbiome Profiling And Abundance Patterns In The Cacao (Theobroma Cacao L.) Rhizosphere Treated With Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi And Bamboo Biochar, Angelbert D. Cortes, Nelly S. Aggangan, Rina B. Opulencia Mar 2021

Taxonomic Microbiome Profiling And Abundance Patterns In The Cacao (Theobroma Cacao L.) Rhizosphere Treated With Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi And Bamboo Biochar, Angelbert D. Cortes, Nelly S. Aggangan, Rina B. Opulencia

The Philippine Agricultural Scientist

Biochar and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are agricultural interventions adopted by farmers to improve the growth of crops in nutrient-deficient acidic soil, which relatively influence the biological properties in the rhizosphere. This greenhouse study investigated the changes in prokaryotic diversity in the rhizosphere of cacao plants grown in acidic soil with AMF and bamboo biochar (BB) for 15 months under nursery conditions. Metagenomic analysis of the V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene of the rhizosphere with AMF, 15% BB, and AMF + 15% BB revealed that the addition of AMF and BB reduced the sample's diversity, but the treatments …
