Estrategia De Posicionamiento De Marca.

Method: The study adopted a single cross-sectional design, in which questionnaires with pre-established scales were completed by 276 university teachers from three major public universities in the …
The Nightmare Of Dream Advertising, Dustin Marlan
The Nightmare Of Dream Advertising, Dustin Marlan
William & Mary Law Review
Advertisers are attempting to market to us while we dream. This is not science fiction, but rather a troubling new reality. Using a technique dubbed “targeted dream incubation” (TDI), companies have begun inserting commercial messages into people’s dreams. Roughly, TDI works by: (1) creating an association during waking life using sensory cues (for example, a pairing of sounds, visuals, or scents); and (2) as the subject is drifting off to sleep, the association is again introduced with the goal of triggering related dreams with related subject matter. Based on a 2021 American Marketing Association survey, 77 percent of 400 companies …

The Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) is a widely implemented classification system in most libraries. However, its usage has declined over the past four decades, and libraries are advised to undergo reclassification. Conversely, it is recognized that the implementation of specialized classification systems significantly impacts information retrieval. Therefore, the aim of this study is to elucidate the concept and methodology behind the integration of bespoke categorization frameworks within diverse libraries across Indonesia over the past decade. This study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and the Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, and Context (PICOC) framework to analyze ideas, schemes, processes, and challenges …

Space Vector Pwm Technique For Three- To Seven-Phase Ac-To-Ac Power Converters: Analysis And Experimental Verifications, Essa Eddin M. Rashad,, Sherif M. Dabour,, S. M. Allam
Journal of Engineering Research
This paper presents Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control technique for three to seven-phase ac-to-ac power converters. These proposed PWM techniques are based on Indirect Space Vector Modulation (ISVM), which model the converter as two independent stages perform rectification and inversion stages. Two schemes of ISVM are proposed. The first scheme maximizes the voltage transfer ratio (VTR) of the converter but it produces unwanted low order harmonics. The second scheme generates sinusoidal output voltage waveforms; the cost is a reduction in the VTR of this configuration in linear mode. The viability of the proposed technique is proved using experimental results.
Regulating Co2 Emissions Post-West Virginia V. Environmental Protection Agency, Rebecca J. Davis, Justin Blount
Regulating Co2 Emissions Post-West Virginia V. Environmental Protection Agency, Rebecca J. Davis, Justin Blount
William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review
In West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency, the Supreme Court expressly adopted the major questions doctrine and used it to invalidate the Clean Power Plan, a rule intended to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from power plants. This opinion has been controversial and has left many commentators concerned that it may hamper the ability of administrative agencies to aggressively and flexibly regulate.
This Article analyzes this opinion and the impact it may have on ongoing efforts to regulate carbon dioxide emissions at the federal level. It then examines economic theory underpinning environmental regulation, developing technologies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, …

Defining Archival Debt: Building New Futures For Archives, Jillian Cuellar, Audra Eagle Yun, Jennifer Meehan, Jessica Tai
Journal of Contemporary Archival Studies
As archivists surface and reckon with harmful theory and practice, how can we awaken to transcend past legacies? This article introduces and reflects on the concept of “archival debt,” defined as resources owed to address problematic legacy issues in an archival repository resulting from past practices, policies, and strategies that prioritized the protection and validation of institutions over democratic access and responsible stewardship. As a concept, archival debt amalgamates the myriad issues we now grapple with as a profession, including harmful or inadequate description, performative or competitive collecting, languishing backlogs, failure to recognize staff potential, shortsighted fund management, neglected constituencies, …
Tax Compliance As A Wicked System, J. T. Manhire
Tax Compliance As A Wicked System, J. T. Manhire
Florida Tax Review
This Article proposes a new typology and framework for tax compliance systems. Traditionally-competing approaches such as deterrence theory, behaviorist theory, and game theoretic models taken together suggest that tax compliance is perhaps a new type of system—a “wicked system”—that is only partially comprehensible by understanding the traditional theories alone. If correct, previously competing theories become simply different limiting cases of the same underlying “wicked system.” The Article concludes with a discussion of the framework’s limitations and presents initial solutions and challenges for future work.
Innovator Liability And Prescription Medication: A Stopgap Measure Patients Deserve, Will True
Innovator Liability And Prescription Medication: A Stopgap Measure Patients Deserve, Will True
Belmont Health Law Journal
This Note argues that in the absence of an updated statute and FDA regulation, states should permit plaintiffs to recover under the theory of innovator liability. Despite the theory’s arguable contravention of “traditional common law tort principles” and potentially unfair results against brand-name manufacturers, victims of defective drugs and inadequate warnings should have an avenue for recourse. Forfeiting one’s ability to recover potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages in exchange for paying a cheaper price for medication is not a fair trade. Indeed, the Supreme Court in PLIVA, Inc. v. Mensing (discussed in Section II and arguably the …

Understanding The Commencing Student Mindset To Better Support Student Success: A Typology Of First-Year Students’ Motivation, Preparedness And Perceived Support, Sarah Midford, Sara James, Anastasia Kanjere
Journal of University Teaching & Learning Practice
This article presents a typology of student mindset on commencing their studies at university. Using the results of a sample of over 400 first-year humanities students enrolled in a generalist degree at a mid-tier metropolitan university, we performed a cluster analysis informed by self-reported student motivation, preparedness and perceived support. Four types were generated: the ‘Coasters,’ the ‘Reluctants,’ the ‘Passionates’ and the ‘Fight or Flights.’ The types generated exhibit a statistically significant correlation with final grade achieved. The predictive power of the generated types indicates that this form of typology is an appropriate conceptual model for understanding student success in …

The Low Electability Of Women Legislative Candidates In Gender-Friendly Constituencies In Banten, Amilia Ulfaningrum, Sri Lestari Wahyuningroem, Anwar Ilmar
Jurnal Politik

Basic Needs Adversities Among Counselors In Training: A Cluster Analysis, Jamie E. Crockett, Nathaniel N. Ivers
Teaching and Supervision in Counseling
During the intersection of COVID-19 with ongoing identity-based injustices in the US, Counselors-in-Training (CITs) experience unprecedented challenges including new or exacerbated basic needs insecurity. In this descriptive study, the authors examined Basic Needs Adversities (BNA) in a national sample of CITs (n = 233) during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors used cluster analysis to investigate CITs reported BNAs and identified four subgroups of participants based on similarities and dissimilarities in the number and type of BNAs endorsed. The authors discuss implications for training and supervision with a focus on social justice in counselor education.
