As a result of the recent telecommunications industry slowdown and the rise of globally integrated communications networks, mergers and acquisitions have become a commonplace occurrence throughout the developed world. In this article, Calvin Goldman, Michael Piaskoski and Ilene Gotts review recent merger and acquisition activity and discuss how the decisions to allow or deny “M&A” are viewed by regulatory agencies in the United States, the European Union, and Canada. The first part of this article addresses these three parties’ approaches to M&A consideration and how the concept of “efficiencies” generated by consolidation enters those deliberations. This Article is organized in the following manner: Part II introduces the OECD Secretariat's proposed pricing mechanisms based on the IPC antidumping model, while Part III provides for a critical evaluation of the proposed pricing mechanisms. First, Part III explains the reasons why the IPC antidumping model does not fit the shipbuilding industry due to the unique characteristic of the shipbuilding market. This Part thereafter demonstrates why the antidumping regime, as well as the proposed pricing mechanism, cannot be justified under the competition policy standards. Evaluation Of The Reproductive Potential And Competition Between Two Entomopathogenic Nematodes, Steinernema Feltiae Filipjev, 1934 (Rhabditida: Steinernematidae) And Heterorhabditis Bacteriophora, Poinar 1976 (Rhabditida: Heterorhabditidae), Işik Oğuzoğlu Ünlü, Nurdan Özer

The emergence in Galleria mellonella (L.) larva, which was infected by Steinernema feltiae and Heterorhabditis bacteriophora, began on the ninth day after exposure to the former nematode and the sixth day of exposure to the latter nematode (25 ± 0.5 ºC). The average number of nematodes developing in each host was as 13,829, and the range was from 4365 to 27,510 for S. feltiae infection. The average number of nematodes per host was 141,562, and the range was 50,905 - 271,593 for H. bacteriophora infection.
