AbstractAlternatives to traditional office visits have become a necessity with the recent COVID-19 outbreak, resulting in an unmatched surge in telehealth adoption. The present study was an investigation of the impact of telehealth versus traditional office visits in medical cannabis clinics treating patients for chronic pain. With 50,000,000 American adults experiencing pain and over 750,000 overdoses attributed to opioid usage, collecting research-driven evidence to increase the availability of safe, effective, and nonopioid treatment options will create positive social change. With approximately 4.4 million Americans addicted to cannabis, it is considered a dominant non-medical drug that is common in the US. The purpose of this study was to investigate the possible contribution of the state laws that allow the cultivation of marijuana to Marijuana Medical (MM) program cardholders on cannabis addiction. This study was conducted to address the issue of the increase in demand for cannabis-related admissions that contribute to an upsurge in the unmet treatment needs. Marijuana use has been linked to poor undergraduate student academic performance, yet cannabis continues to be the substance most often used by college students. The purpose of the current research was to add to the limited body of literature about the relationship between female undergraduate marijuana use and lower GPAs. The study explored how marijuana use impacted the GPAs of undergraduate African American females. As decriminalization of cannabis in the United States increases, understanding how cannabis use may alter physical and mental health is important. The Appalachian Mountain region is an area with poor support systems, stigma against mental health, and historic drug use problems, resulting in residents being more vulnerable to societal change. Chronic pain affects approximately 100 million American adults and costs the United States upwards of $635 billion each year in medical treatments and lost productivity. State regulators have the task of promulgating regulations for multiple heavily regulated industries, but there is a dearth of research to help public policy makers better understand how rulemaking processes are perceived by stakeholders in those processes. Regulators who promulgated rules for the legalization of marijuana in Colorado used both required and discretionary methods of participation in rulemaking to involve stakeholders with multiple competing interests. Therapeutic benefits of medicinal cannabis are well documented in the treatment of a variety of medical conditions. There is not, however, a nationally consistent delivery system, which has prevented many patients from realizing these benefits. The type of cancer pain management used may have an effect on the quality of life (QOL) of cancer patients. Researchers have determined that cancer patients are inadequately treated for pain and pain management is an essential determinant of patient survivability and QOL. Numerous clinical studies have been accomplished concerning opioid administration and noncancer and cancer pain management exist.
