Ineffective supply chain risk management strategies negatively affect company profitability. Supply chain managers are concerned with ineffective risk management strategies, which can erode the company’s profitability. Grounded in the structural contingency theory of fit, the purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to explore strategies oil supply chain managers use to manage supply chain risks effectively. The problem that was addressed in this study is the low gender identification of women managers in higher education.
