Up to 70% of U.S. businesses in the biotech industry received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) noncompliance citations in 2015. The effective implementation of quality management strategies may lead to improved quality compliance. The purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to explore the strategies that quality compliance managers in biotech companies use to integrate and apply FDA product quality compliance requirements into their products’ quality compliance metrics. AbstractA significant positive correlation between higher metacognitive strategy use and better reading comprehension among native English-speaking children and adult learners of English as an additional language, consistently presented in the literature, has not been consistently or directly found among native English-speaking adult high school graduates who enroll in postsecondary learning programs such as university programs. Consequences for adult learners with lower reading comprehension scores at college entry include significantly lower earnings over their lifespan due in part to greater risk for not completing a postsecondary program. Increasingly, research has been conducted on the penal system, yet few researchers have focused on correctional staff. Due to the nature of their work, correctional officers (COs) experience a high degree of stress that is inmate related, occupational, organizational, and psycho–social. The purpose of this basic qualitative study was to examine what supports middle school teachers perceived they needed to be effective using response to intervention (RTI) strategies with ELLs.
