Trauma is not something the untrained eye can see; it can be described as a silent issue, but the effects of trauma are seen in society. Research about trauma has focused on the perspective of the student and not the interaction between the teacher and the student. The purpose of this basic qualitative study was to explore classroom teachers’ perceptions and experiences with addressing students’ trauma-related behavior. The role that middle or high school administrators play in the job satisfaction of teachers has not sufficiently been studied. The purpose of this basic qualitative study, guided by Herzberg's motivation-hygiene theory, was to understand the veteran teachers' perception of the role that school administrators play in their job satisfaction. The researcher sought to determine the motivating factors that school administrators focus on to increase job satisfaction and the hygiene factors that school administrators focus on to decrease job dissatisfaction. Attrition among newly graduated nurses remains a top concern among nursing leaders in the United States. Many published studies about new graduate nurses focus on bachelors-prepared nurses or on mixed populations of nurses that include both associate and baccalaureate degree graduates. Individuals with disabilities experience victimization at rates higher than their typically-functioning peers. Because they are often perceived as unreliable reporters, the likelihood that victimizations of individuals with disabilities are reported is low. Data regarding the lived victimization experiences of individuals with specific disabilities are scant. Outpatient treatment programs for low-level criminogenic youth have been shown to positively impact behavioral trends and recidivism rates. By providing juvenile offenders the opportunity to remain in the community while receiving clinical interventions to address their maladaptive behaviors, outpatient therapy enables participating youth to identify their negative decision patterns. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to examine the individual experience of low-level criminogenic youth who successfully completed outpatient treatment.
