Standards of dress and conduct of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are presented to the youth in a variety of ways. Although these standards are all important, the seminary youth do not consider them to have equal relevance in their own personal lives; for they are concerned with particular standards, in particular ways, and at particular times. While some attempts have been made to solicit their views pertaining to such standards, most studies to date have not dealt with material which has been published and made available to all of the youth of the Church. The purpose of this study was to test the follow null hypotheses:
1. There are no differences between boys and girls in religious attitudes and religious activity.
2. There are no differences in students' religious attitudes related to the priesthood and religious activity status of the fathers.
3. There are no differences in students' religious activity related to the priesthood and religious activity status of the fathers.
4. There is no relationship between a student's religious attitudes and his religious activity.

Considerable literature has been written about the Mormons and their settlement of the lands within the Great Basin; yet no one has produced a systematic study which analyzes the following geographical factors: What pattern of land occupancy was actually used by these early pioneers? Which physical characteristics determined the selection of a site for the Mormon village? What type of city survey pattern was instigated as towns were established along the eastern margin of the Great Basin?
