Public Ethics As A Canadiana “Theologica Publica”, David G. A. Pfrimmer
Consensus

The Use And Misuse Of Scripture In Ethics, John R. Wilch
The Use And Misuse Of Scripture In Ethics, John R. Wilch
Consensus
Christian ethics is founded upon three major hermeneutical priciples: sola scriptura, the distinction between law and Gospel, and solus Christus. Scripture has been misused, e.g., in respect to: not treating a human fetus as a human being and its father not assuming his parental responsibility, men and women not accepting the roles assigned them by God in this world, the church engaging in politics or denying her principles because of political expediency, and building Christian ethics upon so-called inherent human rights. Providing everything Christians need physically and spiritually, God as Creator and Saviour calls them to responsibility and sacrificial service.
