An analysis of economic conditions in Springer, New Mexico, commissioned for its MainStreet economic development program. The MainStreet Service Area and regional market area are described and illustrated. Demographic, income, and housing data for Springer, Colfax County, and the Northeast County Region (Colfax, Harding, Mora, San Miguel and Union counties) are analyzed. Using location quotients and pull factors, the author assesses the local economys strengths and weaknesses, and then lists several recommendations for revitalizing the area. Illustrated with tables, charts, and maps.'
