Tornado witnessed by several people in the Whiteoaks area of south London. Originally rated as F3 but downgraded due to non-reinforced walls of factory found. The most destructive tornado of 1984 and one of six to touchdown on September 2nd. Golf ball sized hail was also reported with storm.

A very rare NE-SW tracking tornado. Witnessed and documented by a number of people in the area. Noted several times in EC files as “multiple vortex F1”. 6cm (2.36in) hail also reported with storm.

TPSS indicates “larger than golf ball” hail fell with the storm. No details on tornado. Easting and northing numbers do not line up with Eva Lake but indicated that it is 35km E of Atikokan. No further investigation documents found.

Witnesses described seeing tornado approach filled with swirling dirt and debris. Multiple vortices seen. Tornado tracked half over Upper Rideau Lake and inflicted significant damage over Blair Point.
