Some managers lack strategies to integrate autistic employees into a diverse workforce. A manager's poor integration strategies prevent autistic employees from successfully entering the workforce leaving positions unfilled, services unprovided, and qualified employees unemployed. Grounded in the attribution theory, the purpose of this qualitative multiple-case study was to explore strategies managers use to integrate persons with autism spectrum disorder into a diverse workforce successfully. The participants comprised five managers from Southern California who successfully integrated autism spectrum disorder employees into the workforce. Several researchers examined reading interventions used with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but few looked at teachers’ perceptions of their abilities to select, implement, and assess reading interventions. The problem is that secondary teachers in a suburban Mid-Atlantic public high school acknowledge that they struggle with the knowledge of effective instructional approaches for students with ASD. Anxiety disorders are the most common comorbid mental health condition seen in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. This study was an exploration of the benefits of exposure and response prevention (ERP) for high-functioning adolescents with autism and comorbid social anxiety. The research problem was the lack of qualitative description of trained clinicians’ experiences of ERP delivery to high-functioning adolescents with autism and social anxiety. The problem addressed in this qualitative case study was the lack of documentation that supports the perceptions and experiences of crisis intervention team (CIT) trained female police officers related to their encounters with persons with mental illness (PwMI) with autism. Using Giles’s communicative accommodation theory (CAT), the purpose of this study examined the perceptions of CIT-trained female police officers of PwMI with autism during encounters. Previous studies indicated that parents raising children with autism (CWA) experience higher rates of stress; however, no qualitative studies have addressed low-income parents' lived experiences of raising CWA. The purpose of this hermeneutic phenomenological study was to understand the challenges that low-income parents of CWA face daily within the framework of family systems theory and biopsychosocial theory. Research questions focused on the impact of income and the core symptoms of autism (social deficits, communication deficits, and repetitive behaviors) on marital and interpersonal relationships. Autism is an increasingly prevalent developmental neurological condition that manifests in pervasive impairments in social interaction, communication, and stereotypic behavior and interests. Early identification leads to positive long-term outcomes. At present, all standardized rating instruments are written in English; therefore, the purpose of the present study was to adapt the Gilliam Autism Rating Scale-2 from English into Spanish using the state-of-the-art procedures described in the literature. The English instrument was translated into Spanish, back-translated into English, and then revised using an iterative process. The adapted instrument's psychometric qualities were substantiated.
