Information Communication Technology Management As A Gdp Growth Contributor Within Arab League Nations, Jamal Alexander Thompson

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

The general problem addressed in this study was Arab League nations' over-reliance on fossil fuels as a gross domestic product (GDP) growth driver. Arab League nations that depend primarily on fossil fuel production lack alternative resources for growth in times of fossil fuel usage or price decline. Overdependence on fossil fuels has led to minimal development in other economic sectors, primarily in skilled domestic labor, and to a high dependency on foreign skilled labor for skilled domestic jobs. The purpose of this study was to examine to what extent information communication technology (ICT) management can be a viable GDP growth …

New Or Novice Teacher Integration Of Mobile Learning Instruction, Carolyn Anne Beisel

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

The substitution, augmentation, modification, and redefinition (SAMR) model is designed to help teachers integrate technology in the classroom. In a district with 1:1 mobile technology, teachers expressed frustration and inconsistency about the use the SAMR model for effective teaching and learning. In this project study, the SAMR model conceptually framed the exploration of teachers' integration of mobile learning and their perceptions about using technology in the classroom. Guiding research questions addressed teacher's integration of the SAMR model and elements that contributed to their instruction with mobile technology. Examining Intellectual Property Rights, Innovation And Technology Within The Caricom Single Market And Economy, Abiola Inniss

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

Caricom Single Market and Economy (CSME) firms operate under various laws and policies on intellectual property rights (IPRs), innovation and technology. International analyses and rankings rate the CSME countries' performance as poor in comparison with others at the same level of economic development. This results in negative impacts on the economic and social welfare of their communities. The purpose of this qualitative case study was to examine the effects of policies on IPRs, innovation, and technology on firms …

Based on an external school review, a large suburban high school outside a southeastern United States metropolitan area was not in compliance with state technology standards. The school leadership team concluded that because teachers were not effectively integrating technology for teaching, student achievement may have been negatively influenced. The purpose of this nonexperimental project study was to measure relationships among factors influencing degree of implementation of technology (ITC) in the classroom using Dewey's experiential theory with an emphasis upon constructivism as a theoretical framework. A modified survey, Technology and Professional Development Survey of Georgia High School Teachers, was distributed to …
