In the edition which follows, the objective has been to present a reading as well as an acting edition of Amelie Rives Troubetzkoy's Young Elizabeth. While major re­visions to the manuscript will be discussed briefly, it has not been the purpose to present a perfect collation of the separate manuscripts of the play. The intent, instead, has been to bring to light a significant contribution to dramatic literature.
