In the edition which follows, the objective has been to present a reading as well as an acting edition of Amelie Rives Troubetzkoy's Young Elizabeth. While major revisions to the manuscript will be discussed briefly, it has not been the purpose to present a perfect collation of the separate manuscripts of the play. The intent, instead, has been to bring to light a significant contribution to dramatic literature.
