Socioeconomic Assessment Of The Carson National Forest: Submitted To The United States Forest Service, Region 3 Office, Billy Ulibarrí, Lee A. Reynis, Jeffrey Mitchell

The UNM Bureau of Business and Economic Research conducted a socioeconomic analysis of the Carson National Forest (CNF) and surrounding communities for the U.S. Forest Service. The report includes quantitative data on the CNF overall, and on the various activities within its boundaries — recreation, livestock grazing, and timber harvesting — as well as demographics on the population of northern New Mexico. The authors used input-output analysis to determine CNFs economic impact.
