This study investigates the prevalence and level of depression among Mormon women compared to non-Mormon women. The hypothesis states that the incidence of depression will be higher among LDS women than non-LDS women. A significant negative relationship is predicted to exist between religious practice and depression where the less they practice, the more depressed they would tend to be; A random sample of 45 LDS and 49 non-LDS women were given a survey instrument to measure their level and rate of depression and their degree of religious belief and practice. Case study methodology was utilized to examine and describe time management behavior of single parent women educators at a two-year college. A non-probability, stratified sample of convenience (Snowball Sampling) where participants were referred by colleagues, friends, and other participants processed and determined final selection of three subjects for the case studies. The three participants selected for the study were single parent women, between the ages of 35 and 45, teaching full-time at a two-year college, with no more than two children living at home. The purpose of this investigation was to examine the effects of a 12 week aerobic bench stepping conditioning program on maximum oxygen uptake, time on treadmill and muscular leg strength, measured by knee flexion and extension strength, on college women ranging in age from 18 to 25 years. Prior to a twelve week conditioning period subjects were assessed for maximum oxygen uptake (VO{dollar}\sb2{dollar} max) and time on treadmill (TOT) using a graded treadmill test. Muscular leg strength was measured using Bally's Life Fitness Machines, averaging three maximum knee flexion lifts and extension lifts. These same measurements were repeated following the …
