97th Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition: Final Round, University Of Michigan Law School

Henry Munroe Campbell was a distinguished lawyer who served as legal counsel to the University of Michigan's Board of Regents for several years.

Following Campbell's death in 1926, his law partners met with then-University of Michigan Law School Dean Henry Bates to discuss a fitting memorial. They decided to establish a case club competition to foster training for law students in appellate advocacy in his honor. The first Henry M. Campbell competition was held in the 1927-1928 academic year.

Program for a December 2017 Problem Solving Initiative at the University of Michigan Law School on the topic of identifying human trafficking victims in health care settings.

It is estimated that up to one third of all victims of human trafficking come into contact with a health care provider during their trafficking and are unrecognized. Health care settings offer a unique opportunity to identify victims of human trafficking and connect them with services and support. In a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting, students were tasked with developing innovations to increase the identification of victims of human trafficking in health care settings.

How can these benefits be optimized to increase individual economic empowerment and economic development for the communities in which these individuals are resettled? Students in this class were tasked with developing innovations to facilitate the economic integration of refugees and victims of human trafficking both during and after the resettlement process.
