Poor medication adherence is one of the significant barriers to treatment for depression, often due to fears about side effects and insufficient knowledge among nurses. Educating primary care advanced practice nurses can help to improve understanding about symptoms of depression and the treatment recommendations. Education can help engage the primary care advanced practice nurses to improve patient understanding and thereby support better adherence measured as improved refill rates and follow-up reports. Transgender and nonbinary individuals face unique challenges in the choral community because of their gender identity. The foundation of the choral ensemble and its methods are rooted in the gender binary, making it hard for gender-expansive singers to feel a sense of belonging.

The purpose of this thesis project was to gauge the experiences and opinions of transgender and nonbinary choral music education majors who participate in at least one choral ensemble. Embattled Learning: Education And Emancipation In The Post-Civil War Upper South, Lucas Somers

This dissertation examines the establishment of schools for and by formerly enslaved African Americans in Kentucky and Tennessee in the decade after the Civil War, analyzing the different individuals and organizations that supported or opposed those efforts. Members of Black communities strove to secure an education for children and adults while doing everything in their power to maintain control of those schools. Widespread poverty, racism, and uncertain political status necessitated that African Americans accept help from outsiders, especially from teachers and agents sent by the federal government and northern benevolent associations.
