The purpose of this explanatory sequential mixed method design was to investigate, identify and document the similarities and differences in perceptions when implementing a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education between teachers and administrators at the K-12 level. Throughout this process, teachers’ and administrators’ beliefs and perceptions towards STEAM instruction were analyzed to determine how they perceived, interpreted, implemented and sustained this new initiative. This study examines how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education may improve English language learners' academic achievement and high school graduation. In particular, it highlights the plight faced by ELLs in high schools regarding quality education that allows them to graduate on time and attend college. The COVID-19 pandemic that emerged in China and spread globally in early 2020 caused schools to shut down and forced educators to adapt their curricula to an online format. For many students, especially English language learners (ELs), this disruption exposed vast disparities to access and equitable instruction. For science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) educators, this presented several challenges and barriers in adapting science content that required hands on experiential learning to a virtual, two-dimensional format. College student attrition can cause a multitude of issues for students and universities. When a student leaves a program, the student may have to take additional credits and thus spend more on tuition, and the program may lose funding due to reduced enrollment. The purpose of this multiple case study, grounded theory design is to describe and document the process teachers go through when implementing a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) curriculum and program at a K-4 elementary school. The Effects Of Virtual Laboratory Activities On Science Learning, Nathlye Sudlow-Naggie

The purpose of this study was to observe the impact of technology on improving science achievement in Elementary students. In specific, this study examined the effects of virtual science laboratory activities on the science learning of 20 African American students in grades four. Using a quasi-experimental design, students in grades four, were randomly assigned to a treatment (virtual labs) or comparison (traditional hands-on labs) group. Ten students participated in treatment group and ten students participated in the comparison group. The students conducted science experiments for 50 minutes, one time a week, for 8 weeks.
