Understanding Math Concepts In Data And Probability At Secondary Level: A Review Of The Literature, Hyungsuk Maeng

Culminating Projects in Teacher Development

Appropriate teacher’s intervention and well-organized instruction can help students develop a better understanding of the target math concepts in data and probability area so that it would be easier for secondary students to figure out some difficulties or misconception in the problem- solving process. Utilizing technology like “Tinker Plots” would be beneficial for secondary students to get more interest in the math concepts in data and probability. Secondary students are supposed to know why they need those math concepts for college and job readiness and how the students make a connection between those math concepts and real-world problems.

A Study Of Minnesota Elementary Principals’ Perceptions On 1:1 Technology Implementation, Susan J. Powell Dec 2018

A Study Of Minnesota Elementary Principals’ Perceptions On 1:1 Technology Implementation, Susan J. Powell

Culminating Projects in Education Administration and Leadership

Abstract

According to the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institute the rapid advancement in technology today requires students to attain a broader set of competencies to be successful than in the past (Winthrop, McGivney, Williams, & Shankar, 2016). To achieve these higher standards, education must take “new approaches that can reach children who have not yet been reached” to attain higher student learning outcomes (Winthrop et al., 2016).

School leadership matters when a school or school district is considering a technology initiative (Anderson & Dexter, 2005) and principals must be increasingly involved in the project to model and …

Implementation Of Application Packaging Technology In Healthcare Industry, Anusha R. Tellapally

Culminating Projects in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering

Application packaging bundles applications for operating systems into a single file called a distribution unit (.msi), which makes the administrator work easier to deploy and install them on user's computers. This project was about repackaging "Adobe Reader" and after successful repackaging of the application, the customization of Adobe was done with the help of Adobe Customization Wizard.

By applying Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology based on the requirement the packagers were able to create detailed analysis on Adobe Reader to support each step involved in managing a desktop application from deployment through retirement.

A Genetic Algorithm For The Longest Common Subsequence Problem, Brenda Hinkemeyer May 2006

A Genetic Algorithm For The Longest Common Subsequence Problem, Brenda Hinkemeyer

Culminating Projects in Computer Science and Information Technology

The Longest Common Subsequence problem (LCS) is a known NP-complete problem that computes the longest subsequence (series of characters occurring in the same order, although not necessarily consecutively) that any number of strings share. An LCS is not necessarily unique for any combination of strings; however, the length will be. The computationally difficult version of this problem occurs when the number of strings and the LCS length are not fixed. The problem has a number of applications: anything from searching content to file difference listings. There is no single solution that fits all situations, and the deterministic solutions available are …
