The current study aims to examine rural residents’ attitudes regarding sex offenders and their perceptions of the recidivism rates of these types of individuals. Data from qualitative interviews of rural Illinois residents (N=24) will be used. This archival data will be coded with NVivo software to determine the prevalence of certain responses indicating positive or negative attitudes as well as perceptions of both adult and juvenile recidivism rates. This study investigates the attitudes of standard accented Turkish speakers towards non-standard Kurdish accented speakers of Turkish. Given the fact that there are strict language policies in Turkey, this paper analyzes the effect of such standard language ideologies on listener attitudes using a mixed-methods design. The study included 50 Turkish participants with ages ranging from 19 to 51. Participants completed a survey with 21 questions and could volunteer to also participate in an interview. Large felid populations are in decline globally and wildlife managers have increasingly used reintroductions as a conservation tool, yet few studies have assessed public attitudes towards potential large felid reintroduction candidates prior to release. The clouded leopard was recently declared extinct in Taiwan; however, a reintroduction effort is ecologically feasible and success largely depends on resident attitudes towards clouded leopards and support for its reintroduction. In 2017, 263 semi-structured interviews with indigenous locals were conducted in southern Taiwan and an internet questionnaire was distributed to 500 urban residents for comparison. Participants will be students taking an Introduction Psychology course at a large Midwestern University ages 18-25 years. Participants will be evaluated on their attitudes towards marriage based on their parents' marital status. The measures being used in this study are the Attitudes toward Marriage Scale (Kinnard & Gerrard, 1986), Attitudes towards Divorce Scale (Kinnard & Gerrard 1986), Children's Perception of Interparental Conflict Scale (Seid & Fincham 1992), Couples Satisfaction Index (Funk & Rogge 2007), Commitment Scale (Rusbult, Kusashiro, Kubabcka & Finkel 2009), and Adult Romantic Attachment Questionnaire (Frayler, Waller & Brenan 2000) .
