Latinx Students Higher Educational Trajectory Post Covid, Jonathan Felix-Martinez

COVID-19 caused many universities to go fully remote during the pandemic. Many Latinx students did not know how to navigate online learning. This paper examines the experiences of Latinx students in their university experiences while online to determine if their higher educational trajectory changed as a result of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. This qualitative project gathered data from 9 Latinx students using in-depth, in-person interviews. Recommendations are presented to help the university create resources that will help improve Latinx students' experiences within the context of online learning and the effects of the recent pandemic.

Community mental health centers (CMHCs) have been underfunded and overburdened since Reagan-era disinvestment and the United States' move toward neoliberalism. Rates of mental illness have been rising consistently, particularly in Oregon, as CMHCs face continuing financial pressures and staff retention issues. This was before the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, we are still trying to understand the ongoing pandemic's impact on people with serious mental illnesses (SMI). The purpose of this paper is to examine notable metrics of multi-family housing markets before and since the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary locations for the analysis of this issue were Portland, Oregon and other cities located near Portland. This paper attempts to demonstrate the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the landscape of multi-family housing options and affordability since the year 2020.
