Revenues for public education are declining and school budgets are being evaluated for ways to cut waste. The maintenance and operations budget often falls victim to the budget ax as maintenance on equipment and buildings is deferred. It may be that as a result of the deferred maintenance, school districts are actually spending more on maintenance and operations and energy than before. This study sought to determine the status of energy use in Louisiana's 66 public school districts and to determine the need for an energy management education program in those districts. The purpose of this study was to identify the methodological content and teaching delivery used by vocational teacher education faculty in University Council for Vocational Education (UCVE) institutions and other selected higher education institutions (NON-UCVE). The population for this study was defined as: full-time vocational teacher education faculty in programs at Research I, Research II, and Doctorate Granting Colleges and Universities I where comprehensive vocational education programs were offered. The primary purpose of this study was to identify program and agent characteristics which are related to changes in 4-H enrollment. The target population of the study was defined as agents of the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service (LCES) assigned to work with the 4-H program who had been in a 4-H position for at least one year. The research instrument (questionnaire) was mailed to a random sample of 64 agents. One agent was randomly selected from each of the 64 parishes in Louisiana. For developing countries, establishing linkages between education and key productive sectors of their economies is a top priority in their agendas for higher education. This interaction is essential to ensure that job requirements are matched by the qualification of job recruits. This study used the framework of job analysis to identify the importance of job skills and personal qualities required by entry-level agribusiness managers and to determine if the curriculum of the College of Agriculture, Jamaica, was providing those skills and qualities. The purpose of this study was to: (1) describe dislocated workers in Louisiana by learning styles and demographics; (2) compare learning style by demographics; and, (3) determine if learning style is independent of occupational area. A simple random sample of 235 dislocated worker participants was drawn from participants served in the Louisiana Job Link Center at Louisiana State University during FY89 through FY91. Data were collected using two instruments. The researcher designed recording form was used to enter the demographic variables gender, ethnicity, age, educational level, and occupational areas (DOT) codes.
