The Medicare Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) has been a free yearly, comprehensive preventive care opportunity for most Medicare beneficiaries since 2011. The Medicare Inpatient Psychiatric Services (IPS) policy, originally developed in the 1960s and without any significant or meaningful updates since the 1980’s, is physician specific, does not reflect the current model of care for psychiatric inpatients, and is restrictive for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) practice. The policy is complex, consists of outdated regulations, and results in millions of dollars in compliance costs for Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities (IPFs) annually (NABH, 2019). Hairy/Enhancer of Split (HES) proteins and their homologs play vital roles in the development of animals, and in the regulation of cancer and other diseases. HLH-29 is an REF-1 family protein and a Caenorhabditis elegans homolog of human HES proteins. A transgenic animal model has been developed to facilitate analyses of this protein, containing an inserted concatemer of the green fluorescent protein reporter gene, regulated by the hlh-29 promoter, and a mutant rol-6 allele. Within the first few months of 2022 more than 300 anti-LGBTQ+ bills were introduced in states across the country (Human Rights Campaign, 2022). Many of these bills, some of which are now laws, discriminate against transgender students or restrict instruction and materials related to LGBTQ+ topics in schools. Gender and Sexually Diverse (GSD) students often do not feel safe in schools (Kosciw et al., 2020). Authors have studied informal music learning with different age groups. Lucy Green (2005) studied the topic with adolescents and identified it an intuitive and natural way children learn. Chad West and Radio Cremata (2016) studied informal music learning at the collegiate level, and Martina Vasil (2019) studied secondary music teachers who implemented informal music learning strategies in their teaching practices. This quantitative study examined individual entrepreneurial orientation and social justice advocacy as antecedents to leader self-efficacy in the complex and dynamic context of the opioid epidemic. Throughout history, leaders have emerged in response to societal challenges; leadership is not restricted to the boundaries of hierarchical, administrative, bureaucratic organizational frameworks. Complexity leadership theory and its recognition of leadership in complex adaptive systems provides an overarching framing. Five characteristics of individual entrepreneurial orientation were incorporated: risk-taking, innovativeness, perseverance, passion and proactiveness (Santos et al., 2020). Identifying patients with depression is essential, and early detection of depression leads to early intervention. Routine screening of patients for depression is the responsibility of the primary care provider, but many patients have not had a primary care visit in the recent past. Those patients without a primary care provider are likely not being screened for depression. Urgent care (UC) may be the best opportunity to screen patients who do not have a medical home. Postoperative atrial fibrillation remains one of the most common complications after cardiac surgery despite surgical and medical advances in the field. While generally transient, postoperative atrial fibrillation increases long-term morbidity and mortality, hospital length of stay, and financial obligation. The postoperative heart's unique chemical and physical properties make tactics for preventing and treating postoperative atrial fibrillation differ from classic atrial fibrillation management. This quality improvement project utilizes a care bundle for non-pharmacologic measures and early beta-blockade administration to reduce the incidence of postoperative atrial fibrillation. Inactivity and sedentary behavior are major health concerns, exacerbated by the amount of time individuals spend at work. Purpose: To examine if 30-60 minutes of daily under-the-desk bicycle (UDB) use while working for 8 weeks helped sedentary and physically inactive adults reach the U.S. physical activity guidelines (PAG) and improve perceptions of wellness and job satisfaction. Methods: Subjects (n=22, average age=45.3 yrs, average BMI=30.2 kg/m2) cycled for 30-60 minutes on workdays for 8-weeks at a self-selected intensity level of 2 or 3 out of 8 total levels. CALM-MO, the eighth of these ideas, offers an integrative, principled approach to psychological mindfulness. The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of participating in a stress-management program on teachers’ self-reported stress and well-being. Participants included a small group of new teachers and their assigned veteran teacher mentors from an elementary school in a large school district in Central Virginia. Self-reported stress as it relates to teacher-teacher relationships and physical symptoms increased significantly from pre- to post-test completion. All other stress measures, with the exception of time management, also increased over time; however none of these changes were significant. Teaching efficacy and school connectedness declined over time, while teaching satisfaction increased. These …

The present research investigates a strategies and methods for a model of training teacher emotional competency. Given the importance of computer-mediated communication (CMC) and the uniqueness of the cues that have meaning in this environment, research is warranted to investigate how the relationship between the people communicating via CMC might impact the way the message and cues are interpreted. The purpose of this study was to investigate the presence of expiratory flow limitation (EFL) in endurance trained (ET) youth females compared to a recreationally active (RA) group. EFL has been reported in ET males of pubertal age, however, the presence of EFL in ET youth females is not established. Methods: Youth ET female subjects (n=9, 15.8 ± 1.1 years) and RA subjects (n=10, 16.8 ± 1.6 years) completed an incremental exercise test to exhaustion on a cycle ergometer to determine peak oxygen consumption (VO2peak).
