AWE (A Woman’s Experience)
Little Women follows four sisters as they find their individual roles in society and their castles in the air. The children's story shows the rise of feminism through transcendentalism philosophy, shown by each daughter's work through their Pilgrim's Progress to perfect themselves, and to be a future benefit to their society. Their continual self-improvement remolds the transcendentalist philosophy to not only include women, but to confront and reform the ails of a society, whereas Emersonian transcendentalism limits itself to secluding to one's own provincial, albeit perceptive, thought. It is a change much needed in an era following the Civil War, …

AWE (A Woman’s Experience)
It was past midnight when Dora Barrios and Betty Nuñez Zeiss stumbled upon José Díaz's beaten body--two stab wounds, broken bones, and severe facial damage. The girls alerted the neighbors, who rushed him to the hospital, but to no avail. In the following days, the Los Angeles Times published various articles about the murder of the twenty-two-year-old.

AWE (A Woman’s Experience)
Although extant literature has documented low contraceptive use among Nigerian women and discussed potential factors contributing to these low rates ("World Population Sheet 2020"), the difference between contraceptive use and intention has not been adequately explored. Within Sufi Islam is a musical tradition called Qawwali, which blends Hindustani classical music with Sufi Islamic poetry. Already a bled of multiple religious elements, Qawwali is certainly not orthodox in its worship; nevertheless, it certainly works as a powerful form of religious worship through a combination of Hindu music Sufi poetry. Qawwals (Qawwali musicians) often know poetry in four or more different languages and have experimented with many Hindustani Ragas (musical traditions learned experimented with as musicians studying for a decade or longer).

AWE (A Woman’s Experience)
Some of the most powerful voices come from the throats of those who are silenced. Art is a way for those without power to wordlessly scream and demand a change. Whether it be through a paintbrush, clay, or the performance of the body, art becomes most powerful when informed by those advocating for justice.

Why Are Utahns Paying Sales Tax On Tampons But Not Viagra?, Hannah Rigby Johnson
AWE (A Woman’s Experience)
If you're perused a drug store recently, you likely noticed that for being 0.3527 of an ounce of cotton with a string attached to it, tampons are expensive, Like, really expensive. The average menstruator spends $20 on period products per month according to the National Organization of Women (Kim 2021). Oh, and that's just for the products themselves--Utah women will collectively spend about several billion dollars in their lifetime on just sales tax for pads and tampons. That's a big deal for anyone, especially a single mother trying to feed her family on one paycheck or a sixth-grade girl with …
