The Text Of Romans In Sahidic Coptic, David Kneip

The last fifty years have seen something of a downturn in the number of studies undertaken concerning the Coptic biblical text. Recognizing the lack of attention the Coptic biblical text has received, and also in light of the growing manuscript evidence in the various Coptic dialects, many scholars have begun to call for new studies in the Coptic biblical text, especially the New Testament. This study takes a first step in the direction toward a new critical edition of the Pauline corpus by investigating anew the three most complete manuscripts of Romans known to the scholarly world.

The increased levels of homosexual discussion in mainstream media culture have aroused opinion diversity in both secular and religious circles. The case of Bishop Gene Robinson has brought the issue of homosexuality in the priesthood to the forefront. However, the main issue does not rest on the issue of homosexuality but rather on the inspiration, validity, and authority of the Bible as scripture. The focus of this project is the presentation of a curriculum that establishes a theological foundation for the revised leadership model at the Quail Springs Church of Christ. The elders and ministry staff comprised the working group for this project. The theological foundation for the distribution of leadership roles is the triune life of God. God exists in perfect community as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and God's people have been invited to participate in the divine life.
