The Impact Of Net Stable Funding Ratio On Bank Performance And Risk Around The World, Bowo Setiyono, Ahmad Maulin Naufa
Bulletin of Monetary Economics and Banking
This study examines whether liquidity, as measured by net stable funding ratio (NSFR), impacts bank performance and risk. Based on an annual panel data set consisting of 2,909 banks from 127 countries, we find that NSFR reduces both performance and risk. These results are uniquely different in the robustness analysis under various settings (non-linear relationships, high versus low NSFR, and conventional versus Islamicbanks). Overall, NSFR implementation brings benefits in the form of risk reduction rather than performance improvement to banks around the world.

Features Of The Performance Of Compositions By Romantic Composers In Uzbekistan ( On The Example Of Liszt's Creativity), Feruza Mukhamedova
Eurasian music science journal
Romantic art is a high example of lyrical-psychological, vital-truthful embodiment of the inner spiritual world of a person. The attraction to figurative concreteness, the desire to fill the sound of the piano with emotional warmth and intonation expressiveness, the colorful characteristics of different keys, characteristic of romantic composers, are fertile material for performers. It is difficult to count all the romantic composers of different national schools, who differ from each other in their original piano style, imaginative sphere and artistic thinking. Pianists of Uzbekistan, the most frequently performed such works of the romantics, as the piano concertos of F.Chopin, R. …

Characteristics Of The Structure Of Quartet Cycles And Their Interpretation (On The Example Of The Works Of The Vienna Classics), Anvar Raimdjanov
Eurasian music science journal
The string quartet is central among the chamber instrumental ensembles. Despite the limited number of participants, the quartet ensemble is self-assembling, requiring no addition and harmonic support from a multi-voice instrument like the piano. The leading position of the string quartet in the panorama of other types of ensembles is well known. The highly developed quartet art has been widely spread in all countries of the world, including Uzbekistan. High-artistic quartet literature is an integral part of concert programs and educational repertoire of all levels of musical formation of stringers.
It should be noted that there is a stable demand …

Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) have an integral role in Indonesian society's growth and development, especially in the economic sector. This study aims to determine the mediating role of work-life balance and affective commitment to human resource practices and its impact on the performance of MSEs. Similar to large organizations, small organizations also implement HR practices, although they are still very simple, affecting the organization's performance. So far, work-life balance and affective commitment have been widely studied in large organizations and are considered essential in improving organizational performance. However, the role of work-life balance in improving small businesses' performance has …

New Jersey Superintendents’ Perceptions Of The Psel Standards And Their Application To The Summative Evaluation Process Of School Principals, Kevin Hajduk
Seton Hall University Dissertations and Theses (ETDs)
It is difficult to imagine a focus for research with greater social justification than research about successful educational leadership. Therefore, the purpose of this study is twofold. First, this study explores the “elements” of the Professional Standards of Educational Leaders (PSEL) from the perspective of New Jersey school superintendents to determine what they consider to be most important when formally evaluating New Jersey public school principals. Second, this study will also distinguish what are the essential, compared to important, leadership skills and responsibilities that a building principal must demonstrate as defined by the PSEL standards and determined by Chief School …

Moisture Monitoring Of A Clt Structure In A Southern Climate, Elizabeth Poblete
Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Understanding of moisture behavior in cross laminated timber (CLT) is critical to the widespread use of CLT in construction in the United States. Currently, very little data exists on the long-term impact of moisture on CLT. The objective of this research is to collect data regarding the long-term moisture variation in the CLT panel at the University of Arkansas Adohi Hall residence hall. The climate of Northwest Arkansas is different from previously monitored buildings, as they were in the Pacific Northwest. Comparatively, Northwest Arkansas has a warmer climate with higher average annual precipitation. Waterproofing efforts are usually employed to prevent …
Space, Andrew Kania
Space, Andrew Kania
Philosophy Faculty Research
This chapter investigates a variety of ways in which music might be thought to be essentially spatial in relatively literal ways. It begins by considering whether certain spaces or spatial features are essential to musical works or performances. These include the space of a work’s composition, performance spaces for which a work is composed or within which it is performed, and the spatial disposition of performers (e.g., off-stage instruments). It then considers spaces “within” music, paying special attention to the notion of “pitch space”—the space in which we experience musical tones as higher or lower than one another and melodic …

We evaluated the ability of 24-g doses of rice or whey protein concentrate to augment adaptations following 8 weeks of resistance training.
Animals In Drama And Theatrical Performance: Anthropocentric Emotionalism, Peta Tait
Animals In Drama And Theatrical Performance: Anthropocentric Emotionalism, Peta Tait
Animal Studies Journal
This article outlines how nonhuman animals are framed by the emotions of drama, theatre and contemporary performance and considers a distinctive tradition in western culture of enacting animal characters who function as surrogate humans. It argues that, contradictorily, while animal characters confirm anthropocentric emotionalism, drama also contains pro-animal values and concern for animal welfare. Animals embodying emotions in theatrical languages are part of the way animals are used in the traditions of western culture and to think and philosophize with, but they also indicate thinking about the emotions in theatrical performance. The article considers if, however, staging living animals can …
He, She, We: Gender Impacts In Teamwork, Arlene J. Nicholas
He, She, We: Gender Impacts In Teamwork, Arlene J. Nicholas
Faculty and Staff - Articles & Papers
It is well known that organizational teams are highly valued in work settings (Marquis, 2019). Some research has shown gender differences such as "team collaboration is greatly improved by the presence of women in the group" (Baer & Woolley, 2011). Other studies support mixed gender teams as advantageous (Sachiko & Takeda, 2014). This paper will review the perceptions of gender contributions in teams from the literature and report on a study of current business students in a liberal arts university. Some comparisons are made to the author's 2017 survey on gender effects in team projects in the same school.

Dismemberment In The Medieval And Early Modern English Imaginary: The Performance Of Difference, Frederika Bain
Dismemberment In The Medieval And Early Modern English Imaginary: The Performance Of Difference, Frederika Bain
Late Tudor and Stuart Drama
The medieval and early modern English imaginary encompasses a broad range of negative and positive dismemberments, from the castration anxieties of Turk plays to the elite practices of distributive burial. This study argues that representations and instances of bodily fragmentation illustrated and performed acts of exclusion and inclusion, detaching not only limbs from bodies but individuals from identity groups. Within this context it examines questions of legitimate and illegitimate violence, showing that such distinctions largely rested upon particular acts’ assumed symbolic meanings. Specific chapters address ways dismemberments manifested gender, human versus animal nature, religious and ethnic identity, and social rank. …

Breathing Room, Madeline Rile Smith
Theses
Breathing Room is a thesis driven by a conceptual investigation of glass as an embodiment of physical limitation. My research considers glass as a somatic medium, as a material with limitations that mirror those of the human body, and a way to engage bodies in space. This work, which used hot glass, scientific flameworking techniques, and collaborative gestures, resulted in a series of performances and objects. My thesis research culminated in two separate yet related bodies of work and two thesis exhibitions. This dissertation will analyze the work and studio-based research in relation to historical and contemporary performance art focusing …

Introduction To Workforce Metrics, Quality Improvement Center For Workforce Development
Other QIC-WD Products
It is important for Human Resources (HR) and child welfare leaders to start with a question-based mindset when analyzing workforce data (i.e., being thoughtful about what you and/or your stakeholders want to know), but it is also important to leave room to explore the data as well. This can only be accomplished if you know what is possible. This blog post describes some of what is possible to explore within the realm of workforce metrics as they relate to employee well-being, performance, and retention. In many ways, the concept of workforce metrics is still in its infancy and many things …

Journal of Sustainable Social Change
The Greek philosopher Heraclitus once said πάντα ῥεῖ (Panta rhei, for everything flows, in contemporary English), and people have expanded upon this philosophy to mean the only constant in life is change. In this article, we will discuss organizational change through change management implementation (CMI) to improve organizational performance as well as a leadership response to social distancing and the global COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. We will discuss research exploring leadership communication, the importance of communication in minimizing or addressing change, and CMI roadblocks including employee resistance.

This article examines how a firm’s willingness to make trade-offs that favour sustainability over commercial goals attenuates the relationship between firm-level sustainability orientation and subsequent performance. The hypothesis development draws on stakeholder theory and the literature on mission and revenue drifts, while the empirical analysis is based on two waves of original survey data on Finnish manufacturing SMEs. We find that sustainability orientation is positively associated with performance only when the willingness to make sustainability trade-offs is low, whereas the relationship becomes negative when the willingness to make such trade-offs is high. Our findings thus suggest that the popular adage …
