Introduction. Usability testing using think aloud protocols was conducted on the MetaLib, a new product that provides the option to search multiple databases, catalogs, indexes, and other resources, soon to be offered by the university libraries. The object of the testing was to find problems users might experience using the MetaLib site in order to improve site usability. Method. Volunteers responded to an email request on the university online bulletin board and completed an online demographic questionnaire. Too often higher education officials equate successful enrollment management with determining the appropriate financial-aid package, assuming the student matriculates. However, there are competing theories as to why a student may be attracted to a particular college. Could it be the "buzz"? This study examines the relationship between buzz and bucks with respect to enrollment objectives. Research findings indicate that it is not an either-or proposition. Moreover, marketers are presented with an ethical responsibility to safeguard the public.

The Bologna Process is a dramatic development that is less than ten years old, but already it has significantly reshaped higher education in Germany and in Europe. This article is based on my research regarding the history and objectives of the Bologna Process and Bologna Process implementation in Germany. It contains my reflections about the Bologna Process and German legal education and my recommendations to the German legal education community.
