The objective of this study was to determine whether certain socio-cultural factors tend to influence family planning behavior and attitudes of certain married couples at Utah State University. Socio-cultural factors considered in this study were: ethnic background, religious preference, level of education, and income. These socio-cultural factors (independent variables) were examined from the standpoint of their influence upon one or more of the following dependent variables: the use or non-use of family planning, the extent to which family planning is used, attitude toward the most important source of information for family planning, and attitude regarding the single method which is …

The massive urban renewal and highway construction projects undertaken in recent years represent efforts to alleviate some of the problems of modern society. Urban renewal was dedicated to solving the social problems of the slums. Highway construction projects are efforts to solve problems of a more technical nature. Both have tended to leave in their wake other problems as least as difficult as those they were intended to solve. Urban renewal has demolished old slums and created new ones. The problem of this study was to investigate the degree to which Title I fathers had a say in deciding school program. The purposes of the study were to obtain and analyze data on the problem and to make recommendations which would aid educators in meeting the needs of disadvantaged students and their families in planning parent involvement activities.
