The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated program for effective organizational change within a school system involving staff, student, and citizen participation. Concepts and practices pertinent to strategic planning and in harmony with systems theory were examined and applied to educational planning. The complex human elements of an organization that can act as barriers against or channels for facilitating planned change were reviewed as interdependent with strategic planning and participative decision-making; Five steps to organizational success were presented as forming an integrated approach to planned change within a school system. This is a supplementary guide designed especially for non-native ESL users to be used in conjunction with The ESL Miscellany. It covers two parts of the book, the Communicative Aspect and the Cultural Aspect. In the Communicative Aspect this guide includes the definitions of all the idioms under the different categories, such as food, music, colors, and religion which appear in The ESL Miscellany. In the Cultural Aspect, six areas have been explained and defined. These are “Famous Americans”, “heroes”, “Historical Sites”, “Dates and Holidays”, “Famous Quotations”, and “Proverbs”.

This paper is a collection of Latin American legends for beginning and intermediate high school students of Spanish. It begins with an introduction including why I chose this subject. Following the introduction, the legends begin. There are ten legends from various Latin American countries and time periods. Before each legend is a short explanation in English about the country and how the story relates to it. Finally, there are sample exercises to be used in the classroom with the legends.

The history of the art museum's growth in America is presented in this thesis to place the development of the public art museum in the proper context. The museum has absorbed its sense of worth and power from the people who shaped its policy and believed in its ability to accomplish positive feats. Part A sets out a 16-lesson course for American ESL teachers in which people will look at personal and cultural values, with the goal of achieving an objective insight into the values of their culture and developing ways of incorporating this awareness in the ESL classroom.
