Any member of any social group learns the proper ways of behaving in his group. He is informed of what might be the consequences and penalties if he violates group rules. The guidelines and rules of a group, for its members, are referred to as the concept of "group norm." Norms are found in all social groups. Sociology, as a discipline, deals with both the notion of adherence to group norms and the notion of departure from group norms. Some departures from norms are termed "delinquency." Sociologists and others have defined and explained delinquency to be any behavior of young …

Wisc, Wisc-R Differences: Fact Or Artifact, Steven Sherrets
Student Work
The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) was developed by David Wechsler in 1949 as a downward extension of the adult intelligence test called the Wechsler-Bellevue (Wechsler, 1939). The content for the WISC came largely from the Wechsler-Bellevue Form II although there were some new items added at the easier end to provide a floor for the younger child (Edwards, 1972). As the WISC Manual (Wechsler, 1949) points out, the test was intended for children from ages five through 15 and was standardized separately from the Wechsler-Bellevue Form II.

Renewal was the key.
Social Facilitation: Differential Recall Of Paired-Associates As A Function Of Socially Induced Arousal, Repetition, And Retention Interval, Gary J. Platt
Student Work
Predictions based on Cottrell's learned drive extension of Zajonc's hypothesis of social facilitation were investigated in a 2 x 2 x 2 factorial design. Sixty-four male subjects were shown a paired-associate list once or three times and then tested for recall either 2 min. or 45 min. later. Arousal at the time of learning was manipulated by the experimenter either closely observing or not observing subjects. After one learning trial, precisely the same form of Arousal X Retention Interval interaction found by Geen (1973) was obtained: observed subjects recalled fewer items at 2 min. than did unobserved subjects, while contrary …

Thus this paper seeks to define a balanced position between psychology and theology and between secular counseling and counseling by those with theological training. This is done in a general overview. But going beyond the definition of these terms and the relationship of theology to psychology, the author seeks to set forth some counseling methods or terms that Paul uses in his two letters to Timothy.
