The cold battery is a heat exchanger between two fluids, air (secondary fluid) and iced water (primary fluid). The cold battery is composed of two heat exchangers in series, one of which is made up of flat-plate in galvanized steel serving as a reservoir for the iced water and the other one a copper shelland-tube exchanger with aluminum cooling blades. The two heat exchangers a connected pipe of the same diameter. These pipes will permit the transit of the iced water coming from the flat-plate exchanger by gravitation towards the tubes of the second exchanger. These two heat exchangers are incorporated …

Non-Linear Spectral Unmixing Of Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3 ) Data, Keshav Dev Singh, Ramakrishnan Desikan
Innovative Research Publications IRP India
Most of the approaches to solve the unmixing problem are based on the Linear Mixing Model (LMM) which is questionable. Therefore, nonlinear spectral model is generally used to study the effects of multiple scattering in the complex surfaces. In this paper, we have demonstrated the application of Radiative Transform Equation (RTE) based Hapke multi scattering model. The Hapke model based non-linear spectral unmixing is carried out on a Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3 ) data. The values of six non-linear Hapke's model parameters are estimated using a MATLAB based algorithm after optimizing the Hapke corrected M3-Endmembers and modeled spectra through minimum …

Innovative Research Publications IRP India
Brucellosis is a cosmopolitan zoonotic disease that affects man, domestic animals and wildlife. The bacteria Brucella abortus is the principle cause of brucellosis in cattle. The incidence of the disease in humans, and which directly relates to that in other animals, is highly dependent on animal husbandry practices, the interaction between humans and animals, living standards, hygiene, food customs, and animal and human population density. Makuyu Division where the study was undertaken experiences hot and dry climate, the area has no permanent rivers and domestic water is obtained from boreholes. Most families live in congested homes and are provided with …

Transforming growth factor-betas (TGF-βs) are elevated during menstruation and are involved in endometriosis. Similarly, matrix metalloproteinases like MMP-2 are also highly expressed in patients with endometriosis. Expression of gelatinases, MMP-2 and MMP-9, is increased by TGF-βs. TGF- βs bind and activate receptor-mediated Smad proteins to mediate gene expression, however, also non-Smad signaling pathways participate in signal transduction of the TGF-βs. In this study, we found that of MMP-2 and MMP-9 is higher in stromal cells especially in endometriotic cells compared to epithelial cells. Treatment of endometrial and endometriotic stromal and epithelial cells with TGF-β1 or TGF-β2 decreased cell numbers, induced …

DSTATCOM is a custom power device that is used to regulate the voltage sags/swells in the distribution system for maintaining the rated voltage level at the terminal of load/sensitive loads. The DSTATCOM can inject three-phase voltages at point of common coupling whose magnitude and phase angle can be regulated with PI controller, while the super capacitors are used to meet the instantaneous power demand since they can store and quickly release significant amounts of energy. This paper explores the use of Super capacitors in DSTATCOM in place of battery for control of load terminal voltage

Innovative Research Publications IRP India
In this paper, the enhanced ( G/G )-expansion method is used to assemble the traveling wave solutions involving parameters of the Foam Drainage equation, where G G() satisfies a second order linear differential equation. The traveling wave solutions are expressed by the hyperbolic functions and the trigonometric functions. When some arbitrary functions included in these solutions are taken as some special functions, these solutions possess profuse structures. This method is direct, concise elementary and effective and can be used for many other nonlinear evolutions equations.

This paper proposes an MCU based robotic elbow movement control. In recent years, a lot of research has been developed in alignment with mimicking body movement especially in the field of medical and industrial applications. Robotic movement has different implementations. The usual method is through PID controller. However, implementation is complicated, response is slow, and movement control is delayed. Speed is also a problem causing the human arm and robotic arm not synchronized with their movement. In this paper, the fuzzy logic method is substituted to PID control. The MCU is used in the implementation of robotic elbow movement. The …
