The present volume is a collection of some papers published by the author during the period 1993 – 2008. They are reproduced here in facsimile edition arranged under the headings: The Pioneers, Metallurgy, and Selected Topics. Aluminum And Its Position In The Periodic Table, Fathi Habashi

Aluminum seems to be misplaced in the Periodic Table. It is usually put below boron, a metalloid with which it has nothing in common. Aluminum should be transferred above scandium so that, together with the alkali metals and the alkaline earths metals, these metals represent the typical metals with related properties and electronic configuration.
