Using data from the Irish Household Budget Survey 2015-2016, instrumental variable estimators are used to conduct the analysis. The results reveal that disposable income, being located in the Border, Midlands and Western …

Time-Share Contract, A Comparative Study, Nada Salim Malla Alow
UAEU Law Journal
The Time-Share is one of the important contracts that appear in the tourism field. The contract idea is based on the participation of a large number of people who benefit from the tourist resorts and hotels for spending holidays and vacations. The beneficiary may contract with the owner of the tourist establishment to buy a share in a hotel or touristic unit or to get benefit from it. In both cases, he/she has the right of residence in this real estate unit for a limited time yearly; one week minimum and one month as maximum instead of buying a whole …

How Saving The Cookies For Santa Could Save Our Children, Grace M. Conroy
BU Well
Environmental factors and high sugar lunches represent a few proposed causes of the childhood obesity epidemic. Consequences of this epidemic are not limited to physical illnesses in children, but also psychological ones. The solution to this issue is more complex than a low carbohydrate diet or increased physical activity. Children need to be raised in an environment which fosters healthy lifestyle habits year-round.
Holidays And Holy Days: The Significance Of The Pagan/Christian Calendar In The French Vulgate Account Of King Arthur And His Round Table, Mark Lee Patterson
Holidays And Holy Days: The Significance Of The Pagan/Christian Calendar In The French Vulgate Account Of King Arthur And His Round Table, Mark Lee Patterson
Conversations: A Graduate Student Journal of the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology
The Merlin section of the thirteenth-century Old French Vulgate Cycle focuses on Arthur’s birth and the now iconic events that accompany his divine selection and coronation as King of Britain. A close reading of this account reveals that significant story events usually coincide with religious holidays. The transition from the pagan to the Christian calendar and the symbolic impact of the calendar on the early formation of the round table in the French Vulgate Cycle has been mostly overlooked by scholars. In this paper, I address this lacuna by examining the role the calendar plays in the development of characters …

The Bridge
In a conversation with a colleague several years ago, I was surprised to find out that we were both exactly one quarter Swedish—I through my paternal grandfather and he through his maternal grandfather. This was unexpected because based on his appearance, family traditions, and last name, I had never anticipated that we might share this common ancestral heritage. Whereas my family has tended to emphasize its connections to Swedish culture, his has focused on links to Japan. There are good reasons that account for the differences in our families’ respective cultural identification, but the variability of how we each see …
