Sir Brock is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory with a B.F.A in Dance and holds an arts diploma from the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School. He has performed with Forces of Nature Dance Theater NY, Jennifer Muller/The Works NY, and Dance Iquail NY. He appeared on the NBC and WPDS-TV as a choreographer and has been featured article in the Tampa Bay Times. The Florida Orchestra and The Studio@620 present the fourth season of "An Intimate Collaboration" beginning on Wednesday January 23, 2013. The honor of your presence is requested at The Studio@620's 6th Anniversary Celebration and Social Justice Awards Gala to be held on Sunday June 20 at 6:20 PM. This evening serves to honor local jazz trombonist Buster Cooper as we present him with the 2nd Annual Justice Pioneer Award. Cooper, a St. Petersburg native and a graduate of Gibbs High School Class of 1947, has a legendary career having played at the Apollo Theater as well as with such figures as Lionel Hampton, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington.

Just As I Am: The Life, The Times, The Voice of Mahalia Jackson is local and acting legend Sharon Scott's new musical about the life and times of preeminent gospel singer Mahalia Jacson. Widely regarded as the gospel singer of all time and one of the most powerful voices ever, Jackson was the first performing artist in history to receive a Grammy Award for Gospel Music. This inspiring musical follows Jackson's rise to fame while dealing with her struggles in the segregated South of the early 20th Century.

The Tampa Bay Writers Network (TBWN) will join the Studio@620 to celebrate the life, art, and activism of Florida Native James Weldon Johnson with a dramatic performance of his important poetic work, God's Trombones: Seven Negro Sermons in Verse. The date honors Black History Month and commemorates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the NAACP. Johnson served as the organization's Executive Secretary from 1920 to 1930.
