This year was especially significant as it was the first in-person Reunion since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Cardozo Law Institute in Holocaust and Human Rights (CLIHHR) has just released a downloadable Teaching Guide on the Reasonable Person Standard, a flexible, free resource that can be adapted for introductory courses or upper-level seminars, class discussions, exam materials and more. It helps students understand what the “reasonable person” standard is in U.S. criminal law as it relates to the establishment of particular defenses.

Cardozo Hosts Leading International Scholars And Advocates For “The Parthenon Marbles Case And The Universal Museum Myth: Policies And Politics”, Benjamin N. Cardozo School Of Law

On April 28th, the law school hosted a day-long symposium on the legal, ethical, and political dynamics surrounding one of the major cultural property disputes in the art world. Leading scholars, government ministers and cultural advocates discussed the arguments over the rightful ownership of the Parthenon Marbles, which were taken from Greece by England during the British Colonial period. Professor David Rudenstine’s decades-long research concluded that the statues should be returned to Greece, and his analysis provided the framework for much of the symposium.
