The Influence Of Diversity Dimensions On Student’S Collaboration Success: What It Means For Workforce Development In Manufacturing, Oyinkansola Adeite
The Influence Of Diversity Dimensions On Student’S Collaboration Success: What It Means For Workforce Development In Manufacturing, Oyinkansola Adeite
All Theses
Manufacturing productivity is measured by labor productivity which is the hourly output of the manufacturing economy. The recent reduction in productivity numbers by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics emphasizes the need for workforce development. With globalization and technological advancements, diversity has emerged as a critical aspect for the workplace. By encompassing dimensions such as education, race, and age, diversity creates a tapestry of unique perspectives and experiences. This study’s aim is to figure out the effect of a diversity dimension on team performance using intelligent systems, and in addition, if extra dimensions of diversity further impact team performance. …
Kitchen Witch: Animated Independent Property Pitch Bible Research And Development, Kelsey Eaves
Kitchen Witch: Animated Independent Property Pitch Bible Research And Development, Kelsey Eaves
All Theses
My thesis project centers around the production process for creating an animated program. My paper is a record of the development of my pitch bible and my efforts to raise outside interest in the property. I intend to use my work here to enter the animation industry as a jumping off point in my career. My research materials include various “Art Of” production books, Creating Cartoons with Character by Rocko’s Modern Life creator Joe Murray, and firsthand interviews from present and former television industry personnel. In this text I explore television animation pre production to highlight the creation of an …
Crafting The Carolopolis Award: Expansion Of The Physical Characteristics Of Award Winners And The Preservation Society Of Charleston's Published Announcements Of The Award Since 1953, Christopher Gene Tenny
Crafting The Carolopolis Award: Expansion Of The Physical Characteristics Of Award Winners And The Preservation Society Of Charleston's Published Announcements Of The Award Since 1953, Christopher Gene Tenny

In Charleston, the preservation movement has broadened its scope, including a varied and wider range of construction periods, architectural categories, and geographic locations. This study shows that the local preservation movement, as witnessed through the lens of the Carolopolis Award Program, has re-focused its preservation ethic to be more inclusive of a more diverse array of properties. The nation’s oldest municipal preservation organization was founded in Charleston in 1920 as the Society for the Preservation of Old Dwellings. After three decades, the society changed its name to fit a more generalized view of preservation: the Preservation Society of Charleston.

Waves Of Change: An Analysis Of Protective Measures At Historically African American Beaches And Their Application To American Beach, Florida, Katie Elizabeth Martin
Waves Of Change: An Analysis Of Protective Measures At Historically African American Beaches And Their Application To American Beach, Florida, Katie Elizabeth Martin
All Theses
The objective of this thesis was to analyze the protective strategies and tools that are available to preserve the historic character of African American beaches across the country. This thesis looks at protective measures available to address the three greatest threats to historic African American beaches: loss from neglect, loss of character from incompatible development, and loss from natural disasters. The potential protective measures were then analyzed to see which measures would be applicable to the protection of American Beach; a historically African American Beach in Florida. The most feasible options for American Beach were taken into consideration and presented …
Comparison Of Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity Using Geospatial Analysis Of Field And Ssurgo Data For Septic Tank Suitability Assessment, Joshua Randall Weaver
Comparison Of Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity Using Geospatial Analysis Of Field And Ssurgo Data For Septic Tank Suitability Assessment, Joshua Randall Weaver
All Theses
Saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ksat) is a soil property linked to ecosystem services and it is often used in septic tank suitability determination at various scales. Field and laboratory measurements of Ksat and septic tank suitability are time-consuming and expensive. Soil Survey Geographic Database (SSURGO) data are available for the United States, but limitations of using SSURGO data for Ksat and septic suitability determination are not fully understood. The objectives of this study were to quantify and compare depth to limiting layer, thickness of limiting layer, and Ksat values for a 147-hectare Cornell University Willsboro Research Farm, located in upstate New …
Arsenic Affects Muscle Development And Structure In Fundulus Heteroclitus, Angela D'Amico
Arsenic Affects Muscle Development And Structure In Fundulus Heteroclitus, Angela D'Amico
All Theses
Arsenic is a naturally occurring metalloid that can enter rivers and ground water. Epidemiological studies have correlated arsenic exposure with adverse developmental outcomes such as low birth weight, delays in the use of musculature, and altered locomotor activity. Previously in our lab, embryonically exposed killifish (Fundulus heteroclitus) were found to have changes in muscle development. Microarray analysis showed several genes involved in muscle development and formation altered and histological analysis showed an increase in small muscle fiber size. In this study, killifish were used to help understand if changes in muscle formation and fiber density after embryonic exposure persist, are …
Landscape Scale Correlates Of Fox Squirrel (Sciurus Niger) Presence , Kristin Meehan
Landscape Scale Correlates Of Fox Squirrel (Sciurus Niger) Presence , Kristin Meehan
All Theses
Although declining throughout the southeast, fox squirrel (Sciurus niger) populations are found on some golf courses in rapidly developing coastal South Carolina. This study used 2001 National Landcover Database data to investigate the relationship between fox squirrel presence on golf courses and landscape-scale habitat features. Results indicated that the best predictor of fox squirrel presence on a course was the presence of a fox squirrel population on the nearest neighbor course, regardless of distance. Course age and the total area of undeveloped features on the course were the best predictors of fox squirrel presence on golf courses without …
