In supplement to my Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, this dossier is composed of an extended artist statement, photographic documentation of artwork, a transcribed interview with artist Ben Reeves, and a curriculum vitae. These components contextualize the motivation and research that inform my studio work in painting. The proposed study will examine changes in audiovisual integration between younger and older adults. Audiovisual integration enables us to associate and bind related auditory and visual information and experience it as a single percept (Spence, 2007). Being able to properly integrate is crucial in our everyday lives. When perceiving speech, audiovisual integration binds visual information from lip movements with auditory information from the speaker's utterances so that speech can be perceived multimodally. Neural activity in the primate lateral prefrontal cortex (LPFC) has been causally linked to working memory (WM) — the brief maintenance and mental manipulation of information. Primates use WM to perform tasks in complex contexts; however, neural mechanisms of WM and the pathophysiology related to WM deficits have traditionally been studied using simple tasks that deviate from naturalistic conditions. Perception And Attitudes Of Canadians Living With Parkinson’S Disease Towards Using Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (Adas), Anupradi Sultania

Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are becoming increasingly prevalent commercially and have potential to increase road safety for at risk populations, such as those with Parkinson’s disease (PD). This thesis presents the results of a survey study (n= 153) exploring the perception and attitudes of Canadians living with PD towards using ADAS. Most participants had a favourable perception of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use towards ADAS. Most participants found ADAS slightly, quite or extremely beneficial, good, rewarding and pleasant. Perceived ease of use and previous experience were determinants for intention to use ADAS in the next year. Perceived …
