The Studio@620 presents a new exhibit of sustainable modern artwork by Amandine Drouet. Amandine gives a second life to her materials transforming them to something new. She rehabilitates what was cast aside or meant for trash-finding items either overlooked or random bits of garbage before becoming permanent parts of the environment. Chance guides her artistic process while it also feeds a constant recycling project. These found objects inspire new ideas as they coalesce into bodies of work through a number of mediums. I Am My (word) is an interdisciplinary dance work that investigates the manifestation of words and how they transition socially and generationally. The Studio@620 presents emerging artist Yhali Ilan, an exhibition of contemporary paintings and illustrations. If an alien spaceship dropped off their finest artist and sent him to study and document the behavior of mankind, down the hatch would come Yhali Ilan, sketchboard in hand. Like a planetary explorer on a mission, Yhali sets out to make contact with the human species, and translate his findings into multifaceted artwork that is inviting and expressive.
