Richard Greenberg’s Tony Award winning play “Take Me Out” focuses on a star baseball player who comes out of the closet at the height of his career and the resulting reactions from his teammates.This play is the dramatic exploration of what such an event might be like, focusing on themes of homophobia, racism, class, and masculinity in sports.

Join us for the second in the "Perspective on the Parks" series about the waterfront parks. These unique evenings of performance and discussion are underwritten by the Florida Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities. This evening's performance will be by singer Sharon Scott, who last appeared at Studio@620 to wide acclaim for her portrayal of gospel singer Mahalia Jackson.
