November brings two wonderful exhibitions to The Studio@620. 24 Hands is a regional group of twelve printmakers and printmaking associates based around Tampa Bay. These twelve artists practice a broad range of techniques from traditional to the experimental. The group’s mission is to educate and advocate for printmaking media.

Clare Dygert is a solo artist working in photographic transfers which result in moody and ethereal images. The viewer is encouraged to be open to the feelings the images arouse and the stories they imply.

A Solo Exhibition by Adam Graham de/territories explores the evolution and devolution of contemporary territories, territories of the body, of language, and of ideology. Displaying a deep concern with the human figure, de/territory exposes the mechanism by which bodies converge and scatter into new modes of territorial being, and how these various movements are signified within the matrix of language. Adam’s work (adamgrahamart.com) investigates the complexities and dynamics of relationships and the role language plays as both a force of connectivity and a force of disintegration.

You’ll hear poems of impossible odds, rectifying the past, the nostalgic routines of Fall, and accompaniments from local musicians. The Studio@620, projectAlchemy, and Rebekah Lazaridis present a new collaborative experience centered around the idea that in order to truly change, sacrifices must be made. Redefining cycles of renewal through interactive design and performance, “Bloom and Residue” is an immersive experience that marries dance with visual art while exploring themes of change, transformation and new life. This experience is not a typical dance performance and the audience will stand and move thru The Studio@620 space, similar to the way an art exhibit is traditionally viewed.

You'll be physically challenged while keeping an emphasis on making choices and staying present in your body and mind. We often begin with a few moments of breathing to still our mind and ready the body, and we always end with a short meditation. This class is a group of friendly yogis of all levels, you will get a nice mixture of relaxation, breathwork, and energizing movement while having fun.
